Hofstra Hosts Northeastern, Heads To Monmouth This Week

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's soccer team, which has tied seven consecutive games, takes on a pair of CAA opponents this week beginning Thursday night (7 p.m.) at home against Northeastern. The Pride will then travel to Monmouth Sunday for a 1 p.m. kickoff. 

Thursday's game will air on MSG2 and will also be streamed on FloCollege, while Sunday's contest will stream on FloCollege and air on a tape delay on SNY at 9 p.m. Live statistics will be available for both games, as well as an audio only broadcast. Hofstra enters Thursday's game with a 3-1-7 mark and a 0-0-3 record in conference play. The seven consecutive draws is the longest streak in the nation and is also a single season mark for draws in a season. The Pride is coming off a 1-1 tie at Towson Sunday. Alexia Des Croisselles scored in the fourth minute for Hofstra before Towson tied 15 minutes into the second half. 

Northeastern is 1-5-4 overall and 0-2-1 in the CAA. The Huskies played Drexel to a 0-0 tie in their last contest. Monmouth is 6-4-1 overall and 1-2 in league play with a Thursday night game at Drexel. The Hawks picked up a 3-1 victory over defending champ Stony Brook in their last outing. 

Hofstra owns a 20-10-3 record against Northeastern and has won three consecutive meetings. The Pride is 4-3-3 against Monmouth. The Hawks have defeated the Pride three consecutive times.
