Pride And Camels To Tussle On Saturday In Nationally-Televised Affair

1/24/2025 11:57:00 AM

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will entertain Campbell on Saturday in the second of back-to-back home games for the Pride from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

Tip-off from the Mack is slated for 12 p.m.

For ticket information visit HofstraTickets.com, call (516) HOF-TIXX, or visit the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office in the lobby of the Mack Sports Complex during normal business hours. There is a special "Me+3" ticket deal available (get four tickets for the price of one) and in addition there will also be a 42-inch Samsung television giveaway as well as Hofstra banners for the first 500 people in attendance. It is also "Fan Appreciation Day" and anyone who attended Thursday's game can bring their ticket on Saturday to receive a free ticket to the game.

In collaboration with one of our corporate partners, Bical Chevrolet, and the Nick Singh Foundation our men's basketball team will be "signing" eight-year old Logan Alexander-Bubb on Friday afternoon. On Saturday, he will also be here taking in the whole game day experience with our team…including being part of our "starting lineup".

Logan is eight years old from Brooklyn, New York – he was born with CHD (Congenital Heart Disease) and his symptoms differ on a weekly basis with trips in and out of the hospital. He is a huge fan of basketball and we can't wait to welcome him to the Hofstra family!

The game will air on CBS Sports Network with Matt Martucci and Tarik Turner on the call. WRHU will also have an audio-only broadcast available on the HAWC. Links to all, including the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra is coming off a dominating 93-68 win over Delaware on Thursday night as the Pride shot 60.3% from the field in routing the Blue Hens in their final visit to the Mack as conference rivals. Cruz Davis was spectacular for the Pride with career-highs of 28 points and 10 rebounds, while falling one assist shy of tying his career-high with seven assists. In total, Hofstra placed five in double figures with German Plotnikov also having an outstanding game with 14 points and seven rebounds. The Pride is 11-9 overall and 3-4 in CAA action heading into Saturday's encounter.

Campbell is 9-11 and 4-3 in conference play. The Camels also had a big night on Thursday as they defeated Stony Brook, 79-54. Colby Duggan tallied 27 points in the game for Campbell, while Elijah Walsh had 10 and Nolan Dorsey added six points and 12 rebounds.

This will be the second-ever meeting between Hofstra and Campbell and the first of two in the span of a week. The two teams met in Buies Creek last January with the Camels narrowly defeating the Pride, 69-68. Next Saturday, Hofstra and Campbell will meet in North Carolina at 1 p.m.
