Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's tennis team is now 3-0 at home with a 5-2 win over Stony Brook University on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Pride is now 7-10 overall and 2-3 in Coastal Athletic Association play.
The Pride clinched the doubles point early with wins from the pairs of

Sabira Mohamed/
Deniz Soyer, and continued to defeat their Stony Brook opponents in singles play.
At No. 3 and 4 singles matches, Stony Brook retired their players before the conclusion of the match, earning a 6-2, 3-0 win for
Kaitlyn Ferguson at the No. 3 singles spot and a 5-1 win for
Deniz Soyer at No. 4 singles. Hofstra also saw victories from
Lea Forste-Dinell at No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-3) and
Sabira Mohamed at No. 5 singles (6-1, 6-4).
The Pride play hope to extend their home win streak tomorrow morning as they take on Monmouth in their final regular season contest at 11 a.m. from the Hofstra Tennis Courts. Graduate student
Dianela Rodriguez will be honored during tomorrow's match for her senior day.
