Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University wrestling program continued its strong run of academic excellence by once again earning National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar All-America accolades. The Pride ranked in the top 30 in grade point average among Division I programs for the sixth consecutive season, compiling an impressive 3.4224 to place 19th.
Hofstra was one of nine EIWA schools to earn the award, joining Harvard, Drexel, Binghamton, Cornell, Franklin & Marshall, Brown, Columbia, and Penn. Harvard recorded the top team GPA in the nation at 3.6134.
The Pride has received several academic honors over the last few weeks with four NWCA Scholar All-Americans in
Keaton Kluever,
Alex Turley,
Noah Tapia, and
Jake Slotnick, and eight EIWA Academic Achievement Award honorees in
Dylan Acevedo-Switzer,
Dylan Ryder,
Ross McFarland,
Will Conlon, Tapia, Turley, Slotnick, and Kluever.
