Washington, DC - The Hofstra men's basketball team will face Long Island rival Stony Brook in the semifinals of the CAA Championship on Monday evening.

Tip-off between the two local rivals is slated for 8:30 p.m. from the Entertainment and Sports Arena in the Nation's Capital.

That game will air nationally on the CBS Sports Network and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on the HAWC. Links to all can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra advanced to the semifinals for the fifth time in the last six seasons with a 73-58 win over Delaware late on Sunday evening. The Pride's big three led the way as Darlinstone Dubar had 23 points and 11 rebounds, Jaquan Carlos posted 18 points, five rebounds, and five assists, and Tyler Thomas notched 20 points in the contest.

The Pride improved to 20-12 with the win. It marks the program's fifth consecutive 20-win season (not including the shortened 2020-21 campaign). Overall it is the 26th time in program history that Hofstra has won at least 20 games and the 17th time at the NCAA Division I level (since 1966-67).

Stony Brook upped its record to 19-14 this season with a 91-88 double overtime win over Drexel in the quarterfinals. Aaron Clarke had 27 points and seven rebounds, while Chris Maidoh posted 25 points and nine rebounds.

Monday will be the 35th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Stony Brook. The Pride holds a commanding 28-6 lead in the all-time series. Hofstra swept the two regular season meetings and has won four straight and nine of the last 10 encounters between the programs.
