Poughkeepsie, NY - Hofstra swept their doubles matches against Marist to win the doubles point and then take five of the six singles flights to pick up a 6-1 victory over Marist Sunday night. The Pride advanced to 2-2 on the season.

Mary Madigan and Sabira Mohamed began the match with a 6-1 win over Isabella Tonuzi and Vihana Shresta at No. 2 doubles. Deniz Soyer and Lea Forste-Dinell secured the doubles point for the Prie with a 7-5 victory at the No. 1 doubles flight. At No. 3 doubles, Abigail Higgins and Dianela Rodriguez defeated their opponents 7-5.

Forste-Dinell opened singles play with a 7-6(5), 6-0 tiebreaker win over Cloe Clements Sorde. Rodriguez followed with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Isabella Tonuzi to make the score 3-1. Higgins, Ferguson and Mohamed all added to the Pride's win making the final 6-1 over Marist. 

Hofstra returns to action Saturday, February 10, against Providence at Point Set Indoor.
