Hempstead, NY – The Long Island Rivalry is set to resume for the second time in February, with the Hofstra women's basketball team making the trek to Suffolk County for a Friday night showdown against Stony Brook.
 
Tip-off from Island Federal Credit Union Arena in Stony Brook, New York, is set for 6:31 p.m.
 
Friday's contest will be aired live on SNY, with a simultaneous stream of the game happening on FloHoops, and WRHU will carry an audio-only broadcast of the action on 88.7FM. The Pride snapped an eight-game losing streak this past Sunday with a 58-44 win on the road over Towson, pushing Hofstra's record to 8-13 and 2-8 in league play. Sorelle Ineza led Hofstra as one of four Pride players with double figures, scoring 13 points for Hofstra, and Zyheima Swint tallied her fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds against the Tigers.
 
The Seawolves sport a 19-3 record and a CAA mark of 9-2 following a 71-35 road win over Northeastern on Sunday. Khari Clark and Gigi Gonzalez lead Stony Brook with 16.5 and 16.4 points per game, respectively.
 
The Seawolves won the previous meeting in Hempstead, 67-49, on February 2. Stony Brook improved its record in the all-time series over Hofstra to 8-7.
