Izadora Stedile was tremendous once again with 19 kills and 16 digs, while
Iyanna Garvin tied her career-high with 10 kills but it wasn't enough as the Hofstra volleyball team fell in four sets in the CAA semifinals to Charleston on Friday afternoon at TU Arena.
For Stedile it was her team-leading 15th double-double of the season. Garvin tallied her career-high-tying total on 17 attempts with zero errors for a .588 attack percentage.
The loss ends Hofstra's season at 19-10, while Charleston moves on to the CAA title match with a record of 24-8. Set scores were 25-14, 23-25, 25-22, and 25-23.
Chiara Cucco had a match-high 27 digs in the final match of her incredible career, while
Beatriz Alves added 34 assists in the final appearance of her spectacular Pride career.
The final three sets were as competitive as possible with two of the top teams in the league only separated by a total of three points over the final three sets, but the Cougars were able to prevail with a pair of narrow wins in the third and fourth sets.
Clara Bal and
Beatriz Braga each added nine kills for Hofstra, which also got 21 assists from
Ellie Pamatat.

- Hofstra is now 12-14 all-time against Charleston.
- Cucco finishes her career with 1,875 digs to rank second all-time in program history.
- Alves finishes her career with 3,784 assists to rank sixth all-time in program history.
- Garvin previously had 10 kills against against Towson earlier this season and versus Merrimack last season.
