Izadora Stedile had another outstanding match with a career-high 27 kills and 17 digs to lead the Hofstra volleyball team, but Delaware earned a narrow five-set win over the Pride on Sunday afternoon at the David S. Mack Physical Education Center.
Stedile added five blocks and a season-high four service aces in a career-defining performance.
Hofstra fell to 13-8 and 9-3 in CAA play with the loss. Delaware improved to 13-6 and an identical 9-3 in conference action. Set scores were 25-22, 19-25, 26-24, 22-25, and 15-12 in favor of the visitors.
Chiara Cucco added 15 digs and five assists for Hofstra, which also got 13 kills and five digs from
Clara Bal.
Delaware was led by Kirah Johnson and Anna Logan Gillens, who each had 15 kills in the match. Lily Rogers posted 50 assists for the Blue Hens.
Hofstra returns to action next Friday when it travels to William & Mary for a 3 p.m. match.
