Hempstead, NY – After a pair of CAA road games in Virginia, the Hofstra women's basketball team returns to the familiar sights and sounds of the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex to take on league-leaders Stony Brook on Friday, February 2.

Hofstra enters Friday with a 7-11 overall record and a 1-6 CAA mark following a loss at Hampton on Sunday.
 
Stony Brook currently leads the CAA with a 16-2 overall record and a 6-1 record in league play after a Sunday road win over Drexel. Gigi Gonzalez leads the Seawolves with 16.5 points per game, followed by Khari Clark is averaging 15.7 points per game entering Friday's showdown.
 
Friday marks the eighth time Hofstra and Stony Brook have met on the hardwood, and the series record stands at an even 7-7. Stony Brook has won the last six matchups against the Pride, including both 2023 games in Stony Brook's maiden season in the CAA.
