Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team continued to announce its non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 campaign and today announced the addition of a road game at St. Louis on December 9, 2023.
This will mark the first-ever meeting between Hofstra and St. Louis in men's basketball.
Hofstra has previously announced a road game at Duke on December 12 and its participation in the Gulf Coast Showcase on November 20-22 in Estero, Florida. The Pride will open play in the tournament against Buffalo.
Hofstra is coming off a 2022-23 campaign in which the Pride went 25-10 overall (16-2 CAA), captured the regular season Colonial Athletic Association title, and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament after defeating Rutgers in the first round. The Pride welcomes back nine returnees including three starters in
Tyler Thomas (16.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg),
Darlinstone Dubar (10.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg), and
Jaquan Carlos (6.7 ppg, 4.8 apg).
St. Louis went 21-12 last season.
