Hempstead, NY - Four members of the 2022-23 Hofstra men's basketball team -
Nelson Boachie-Yiadom,
Petey Galgano,
Bryce Washington, and
Warren Williams - were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches 2022-23 Honors Court, recognizing those men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.
To earn this distinction, a student-athlete must be at least a junior or senior, have a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and be at their current institution for at least one year.Â
Boachie-Yiadom will earn his master's degree in sustainability this summer.Â
Galgano is entering his second-year in the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra.Â
Washington, the lone returnee to the roster in 2023-24 of the four honored, is working towards a master's degree in business administration.Â
Similar to Boachie-Yiadom, Williams will earn his master's degree in sustainability this summer.Â
Hofstra is coming off a 2022-23 campaign in which the Pride went 25-10 overall (16-2 CAA), captured the regular season Colonial Athletic Association title, and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament after defeating Rutgers in the first round.Â
