April Sanchez picked up a win at doubles and wins in singles play in Hofstra's 5-2 loss at Seton Hall Friday night.
The Pride duo teamed up to win 6-1 at No. 1 doubles over Arina Gumerova and Aina Plana Ventosa. Soyer then won at second singles against Gumerova, who retired in the first set with the score tied at 3-3. Sanchez won at No. 3 singles against Ventosa, who retired after dropping the first set, 6-3.
Hofstra is back in action Saturday at 4 p.m. versus Towson at Point Set Indoor in Oceanside.
