Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Head Men's Basketball Coach
Speedy Claxton continued to fortify his roster for the future with the addition of two student-athletes. This duo will join the Pride for the 2024-25 academic year as freshmen.
Joining the Hofstra program are Joshua Decady (Queens Village, New York) and Amir Williams (Middletown, Delaware).
"We are really excited about Joshua and Amir becoming part of the Pride and their futures here at Hofstra," said Claxton. "Both have incredible upsides on the court and we know they will be great additions to our program and the Hofstra community. Today is a great day for Hofstra basketball!"
DeCady, a 6-8 forward, attends Kimball Union Academy in Plainfield, New Hampshire. DeCady earned All-NEPSAC Class-AA playing for Kimball Union. He previously was a member of the 2020 CHSAA Class AAA Freshman Championship while attending and playing at Archbishop Molloy.
