Lawrence, NY - The Hofstra women's golf team wrapped up their fall season and finished fifth at the LIU Shark Invitational Tuesday. Lead by
Cynthia Zhao who tied for 5th, the Pride shot 680 (+120) in two rounds (335-345).
Zhao lead Hofstra at 159 (+19) after shooting an 81 (+11) and 78 (+8).
Savannah Weyrauch tied for 13th at 165 (+25) with a 79 (+9) and 86 (+16). Up next for Hofstra was
Dominique Jimenez, who finished 25th at 177 (+37), while
Sadie Anderson tied for 26th place at 179 (+39).
Natalie Moody finished 32nd at 193 (+53).
LIU took home the team title at 632 (+72) and had four golfers place within the top 10. LIU's Hailey Holbdy took the individual title at 153 (+13) after a first round 81 (+11) and low round 72 (+2). Claiming second was Bryant University at 656 (+96), with Merrimack following at 665 (+105) in third. The Pride finished in fifth place out of the six team field, just before Le Moyne College at 706 (+146).
