Beatriz Alves became the sixth player in program history to reach 3,000 career assists with her first "helper" of the match and finished with 24 assists and eight digs in the Pride's 3-0 loss to Delaware on Sunday afternoon.
Izadora Stedile had eight kills and 11 digs for Hofstra, while
Chiara Cucco tallied 17 digs in the contest.
Hofstra dropped to 16-7 and 6-6 in CAA action with the loss. Delaware is now 16-4 and 9-3 in the league. Set scores were 21-25, 22-25, and 15-25.
Alves attained the milestone assist on the first play of the match as Bal tallied the kill on her 3,000th career assist.
Bal finished with seven kills and no errors in the match.
Lani Mason had 10 kills and 10 digs for Delaware, while Eileen Gex tallied 20 digs for the Blue Hens.
Hofstra is back at home next weekend when it hosts CAA newcomer Campbell on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m.

- Alves is the first Pride player to reach 3,000 career assists since Luisa Sydlik, who had 4,426 career assists in a career spanning from 2016 to 2019.
