Strong Defensive Effort Leads Hofstra Past Northeastern

Hempstead, NY - Wiktoria Fronc scored a first half goal and Hofstra's defense limited Northeastern to just one shot on goal as the Pride picked up a 1-0 Coastal Athletic Association victory Sunday afternoon at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. Hofstra is now 8-3-1 overall and 5-1-1 in league play. Northeastern is 5-3-4 overall and 3-1-3 in CAA action.

Fronc put the Pride on the board at the 33:49 mark as she took a pass from Mathilde Braithwaite and got in behind the Huskies defense before sending a shot to the left of keeper Holland Stam and into the goal for her fourth of the season.
