Hofstra Blanks Fordham Behind Kuzmich And Suttner

Bronx, NY - Anja Suttner scored on a penalty kick in the 19th minute and Skylar Kuzmich made five saves as Hofstra remained undefeated in 2022 with a 1-0 victory at Fordham Thursday night. The Pride moved to 3-0-1 with their second consecutive win.

The Pride's Leah Iglesias drew the penalty after getting shoved in the back by a Rams defender. Suttner calmly took the penalty kick and slid a shot into the lower right corner.

Kuzmich would make the goal stand up as she stopped all five shots on goal, including two in the final six minutes. The Pride's senior keeper had three saves in total in the final 45 minutes.

Kyla King had four saves in goal for the Rams, who fell to 1-3 on the year.
