Dedham, MA – On the second day of the 2022 Colonial Athletic Association Outdoor Track & Field Championships,
Aiden Willey competed for the Hofstra men's outdoor track team in the 5000m from Solomon Outdoor Track Stadium on the Northeastern campus.
A sophomore distance runner from Standish, Maine, Willey broke the tape in the 5000m with a time of 16:23.86, placing him 10th in the race. The Pride finished the team competition with eight points, placing them fourth in the team standings.
Hosts Northeastern won its seventh consecutive team title with 264 points, edging out second-place UNCW with 238 points. Josh Parks of UNCW and Donatien Djero of Northeastern were named Co-Most Outstanding Performer of the track events after Parks won the 110m hurdle and 400m hurdle events, while Djero set a meet record in the 100m dash, finished second in the 200m dash, and won as a member of the 4x100m relay. In the field events, William & Mary's Christopher Arias was named the Most Outstanding Performer for winning the javelin by over five meters against the runner-up.
