New York City, NY – Sophomore
Aiden Willey medaled in the 10,000m as the Hofstra men's outdoor track & field team competed at the Metropolitan Championships from Icahn Stadium.
A second-year distance runner from Standish, Maine, Willey placed third in the 10,000m with a personal-best time of 34:28.64.
Andrew Giovinazzo competed in the 800m and ran a personal-best time of 2:08.69.
Hofstra also had personal-best finishes from Greg Franzetti in the 200m with a time of 26.74 and
James Watterson in the shot put with a mark of 7.89m. Watterson also ran with
Nikolas Miller,
Eric Shindel, and
Ericson Velasquez in the 4x100m relay team and finished the race in a time of 59.14.
The Hofstra men return to action on April 14 at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California.
