Zach Van Houten ran the fastest time of the season in the 10,000m among Colonial Athletic Association runners at the Sam Howell Invitational on Saturday from Weaver Stadium at Princeton University.
A first-year distance runner from East Meadow, New York, Van Houten clocked in at 29:54.89. Van Houten's time on Saturday was among the fastest times by a freshman in the 10,000m in Hofstra men's outdoor track history.
Hofstra will compete again next Saturday, April 9, from Icahn Stadium in New York City at the Metropolitan Invitational.
