BB: Hofstra Takes On Fairfield In Tuesday Clash

Hempstead, NY - Following an extra-inning win over Delaware this past Sunday, the Hofstra University baseball team returns to action Tuesday with a 3:30 p.m. game at Fairfield. The game will stream live on the Stags Sports Network and live statistics will also be available. Links for both can be found above or on the baseball schedule page of GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra is 15-15 on the season entering Tuesday's game. Brian Morrell has been the Pride's leading hitter with a .318 average. The senior has nine doubles, two triples, three home runs, and 21 RBIs. Kevin Bruggeman is batting .296 with three home runs and 18 RBIs, while Jake Liberatore is hitting .289 with seven doubles and 17 runs scored. The Hofstra pitching staff is anchored by Brad Camarda (5-0) and Mark Faello (4-2), while Aljo Sujak and Michael O'Hanlon have been the Pride's top relievers with 12 and 11 appearances, respectively. 

Fairfield is 19-14 on the season and has won four consecutive games. Ryan Strollo is the Stags top hitter with a .300 average. Matt Zaffino is batting .284 with 10 doubles and 37 RBIs. Baker Bowen is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in 10 appearances, while Colin McVeigh and Nick Grabek each have three saves.

Hofstra is 8-13 all-time versus Fairfield. The Stags have won the last five meetings.

The Pride will remain on the road this weekend as the team travels to Towson for a weekend series beginning Friday.
