Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra wrestling team will travel to Philadelphia for the first dual in two weeks as the Pride will take on Drexel at 2 p.m. in EIWA action.

Hofstra last wrestled on January 15 and 16 in back-to-back home duals against Buffalo and Navy. The Pride dropped a close 27-13 contest against Buffalo on the 15th, followed by a 35-6 loss to the Midshipmen on the 16th.
Zachary Knighton-Ward went 2-0 on the weekend with a major decision win against Buffalo and a decision against Navy. Against the Bulls,
Charles Small (3-2 dec. (TB-2)) and
Trey Rogers (WBF, 6:08) picked up victories, and
Ricky Stamm earned an 8-4 decision win against Navy.

Drexel enters this weekend following a 26-16 win over American in EIWA competition. The Dragons sit at 3-6 in overall dual meets and are 2-2 against conference competition. Returning national qualifier Evan Barczak leads Drexel with 16 wins and is ranked #20 at 165 pounds in the first NCAA Coaches' Panel rankings released on January 21. Michael O'Malley (#13, 174), Luke Nichter (#32, 149) and Parker Kropman (#32, 157) also represent Drexel in the NCAA Coaches' Panel rankings.

Following Saturday's match, Hofstra will conclude the 2021-22 home schedule with a pair of EIWA duals on February 12. The Pride will first face Harvard at 1 p.m. following by a 3 p.m. dual against Sacred Heart, with both matches taking place inside the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.
