Sugar Land, TX – Houston Baptist scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to snap a 3-3 tie in a 6-3 victory over Hofstra Sunday afternoon at Constellation Field. Hofstra had tied the game in the top half of the inning. The win gave the Huskies the series victory over the Pride.

The Huskies took a 2-0 lead after three innings following a solo home run from Logan Letney in the second and a RBI single from Connor Fremin in the third. The Pride answered with a run in the fourth inning as

Brian Morrell.

Houston Baptist threatened in the sixth, putting a pair of runners on before
Tristan Nemjo came on in relief and struck out the final two batters to escape the jam.
The Pride put together a two-out rally in the seventh as
Michael Florides started things off with a single and advanced to third on Morash's single. The throw from the outfield was cut off and a play was attempted behind Morash at first. The throw was not handled and Florides came in with the tying run.
However, the Huskies got to Nemjo in the seventh as Diego Davila was hit by a pitch and took second on a wild pitch. Following a walk to Fremin, Austin Roccaforte tripled in two runs and then came in himself on a Jake Miller sacrifice fly.
