Katherine Kachkarov won at No 1 singles for Hofstra but Fairleigh Dickinson won the other five singles flights and took the doubles point in a 6-1 victory over the Pride at Point Set Indoor Thursday afternoon.
Hofstra slipped to 0-3 on the season while the Knights improved to 1-1.
Kachkarov won in straight sets over FDU's Shreya Gulia, 6-4, 6-4 to get the Pride on the board. Hofstra's
April Sanchez (No. 4) and
Ananyaa Bhargava (No. 6) each went to three sets in their singles matches but could not pull out wins.
Hofstra is off until February 24, when the team travels to Rider for a 2 p.m. game.
