Hofstra Opens 2022-23 Campaign At Princeton Open

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra will open the 2022-23 wrestling season Sunday at the Princeton Open. The Pride will send a total of 13 wrestlers - 12 attached and one unattached - to the event. Action gets underway at Jadwin Gymnasium at 9 a.m.

Emmanuel (Ga.), George Mason, Lehigh, Lock Haven, Presbyterian, Princeton, Rider, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, Stevens Tech, and Williams will join the Pride in sending wrestlers for the men's open. There will also be women's competition on three of the 10 mats

Competing as attached wrestlers for the Pride will be Dylan Acevedo-Switzer (125), Alex Turley (133), Joe Sparacio (133), Chase Casey (141), Mario Biancamano (141), Greyson Harris (149), Eric Shindel (157), Jurius Clark (165), Matt Rogers (174), Ericson Velasquez (184), Nikolas Miller (197), and Adrian Sans (285). Michael Leandrou will compete unattached at 157 pounds.

Following the Princeton Open, Hofstra's next competition will be the Journeyman Collegiate Classic in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Nov. 13.
