Hempstead, NY - Hofstra's Jake Slotnick dropped a tough 1-0 decision to Wisconsin's No. 26 Cody Goebel at 165 pounds as the 22nd-ranked Badgers defeated the Pride, 41-0, Sunday afternoon at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

Wisconsin improved to 5-0 with the win, while Hofstra slipped to 1-5 on the season with the loss. 

Goebel, starting on bottom, had a second period escape to earn the only point of the match. He would then hold off a determined Slotnick in the third period. Chase Liardi (141), Frank Volpe (157), and Jurius Clark (174) each lost by decision as well. 

The Badgers picked up bonus point victories in six bouts with three tech falls, two major decisions, and one fall. 

Hofstra returns to action December 21 at the Bucknell Quad with duals against Virginia, Morgan State, and the host Bison.
