Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Head Men's Basketball Coach
Speedy Claxton continues to fortify the Pride's roster as today he announced the addition of KiJan Robinson for the 2022-23 season and beyond.
Robinson, a 6-3 guard and native of Apopka, Florida, signed his National Letter of Intent with the University and will begin his athletic and academic career with the Pride in the fall of 2023.
"KiJan is an extremely talented basketball player who will be a great addition to our program," commented Claxton. "We are thrilled to have him as part of the Hofstra family and see him develop at our University. He has a great basketball IQ that will work well with our existing roster and continue our success well into the future."
Robinson currently attends Wekiva High School in Orange County, Florida. A season ago he averaged 13 points, four assists, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game for Apopka High School in Apopka, Florida. He helped guide the Blue Darters to a 19-win campaign and a spot in the state tournament.
Robinson was part of a pair of Florida Class 2A State Championships at Orlando Christian Prep in 2020 and 2021.
He also plays for the SOH Elite AAU team.
