Chiara Cucco tallied 12 digs to lead the Hofstra volleyball team in the Pride's three-set loss to Towson on Saturday afternoon.
The loss was the Pride's first in Colonial Athletic Association play this season and drops the team's record to 17-10 overall and 14-1 in conference action. Towson is 25-1 and 14-1 in the CAA.
Senior
Zyare Abdul-Rahim led Hofstra with seven kills in the match, while freshman
Clara Bal added six.
Nina Cajic had 10 kills for Towson and Trinity Burge tallied 15 assists and 10 digs.
The two teams will battle on Sunday at 1 p.m. with the winner of the match earning the regular season CAA Championship. The match will air on FloVolleyball.
NOTES
- Hofstra is now 46-21 all-time against Towson.
- The 14-0 start to the Pride's CAA slate will go down in the record books as the program's best-ever CAA start since joining the league in 2001.
