Weyrauch Ties For Sixth As Play Concludes At Hartford Hawks Invitational

Bloomfield, CT - Savannah Weyrauch fired a final round 75 (+5) and finished tied for sixth at the Hartford Hawks Invitational at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course Tuesday. Hofstra finished seventh as a team in the nine-school field.

Weyrauch finished with a two-round score of 153 (+13) to finish in a sixth-place tie in the 59-player field, seven strokes off the lead. Cynthia Zhao tied for 13th-place at 156 (+16) following a final round 77 (+7). Maya Torpey, playing as an individual, tied for 21st at 158 (+18) after a final round 76 (+6). Claire Galante tied for 33rd-place at 163 (+23) with a final round 82 (+12). Dominique Jimenez tied for 38th at 166 (+26), shooting a final round 84 (+14). Mai Takahashi was 45th at 171 (+31), ending with an 87 (+17) on Tuesday.

Hofstra posted a two-round team score of 638 (+78) to place seventh. Fairfield and Merrimack shared the team title at 615 (+55). Fairfield's Sydney Nethercott was the individual medalist, finishing with a 146 (+6). Albany's Mariel Tee was second at 151 (+11).

Hofstra is back in action Thursday and Friday, hosting the Birdies Against Breast Cancer event against Monmouth at Eisenhower Park.
