Box Score Philadelphia, PA - The Hofstra University women's tennis team earned their first victory of the season with a 3-2 win at La Salle at the Legacy Tennis Center Sunday. Hofstra moved to 1-5 with the win. La Salle fell to 0-10 with the loss.

Both teams were shorthanded, resulting in just one doubles match taking place as well as the four singles flights. The Hofstra team of Mandisa Walle and Kayla Solagnier defeated La Salle's Jazmin Walle and Aleks Nikolic, 6-3, to claim the doubles point. That would prove to be the decisive point as the teams split at singles. Mandisa Walle picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win over Lauren Landstrom at No. 2 singles and Isabella Tonuzi won in three sets over Jazmin Walle, 6-4, 1-6, 7-5.

Hofstra returns to action Thursday at the CAA Championship in Williamsburg, Virginia.
