Box Score Flushing Meadows, Ny – Hofstra won the doubles point but dropped all five completed singles matches in a 5-1 loss to St. Francis Brooklyn Thursday morning at the USTA National Tennis Center.
 
Hofstra slipped to 4-3 overall while the Terries moved to 3-1 on the season.
 
Alvaro Arce Lopez-Sanchez and Shawn Jackson were victorious at No. 2 doubles with a 6-1 victory over Luis Foix Sotos and Paulo Chiapponi. Yusuke Nishitani and Giacomo Pezzoli followed with a 6-2 win at No. 3 over Gleb Mityurin and Lars Schneider to earn the point for the Pride.
 
The Terriers would win four singles matches in straight sets. Julien Wolfe battled to three sets at the No. 6 flight. Shawn Jackson's match at No. 1 was not completed.
 
Hofstra will be back in action this Saturday and Sunday at Drexel and La Salle respectively.
