Towson completed the regular season with a 13-8 record to go along with an 8-6 CAA mark.

Junior guard JaKayla Brown, who was named to the CAA All-Conference Second Team on Tuesday afternoon, scored 17.3 points per game during conference action which ranked fourth in the league. Redshirt junior Jaylen Hines will also continue to make a big impact for the Pride after scoring 14.3 points per game during the CAA regular season to go along with a team-high 7.5 rebounds. Junior guard Jahsyni Knight, a CAA All-Defensive team honoree, added 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game in league play.

Hofstra and Towson met twice this season toward the end of January and the Tigers won each of those contests at SECU Arena. Towson opened up the weekend with a narrow 65-60 decision before closing out the weekend with a 92-64 win over Hofstra. Brown led Hofstra in scoring on both occasions, netting 19 points during the first meeting and 15 points during the second. For Towson, Jeter scored a team-high 24 points on Saturday and 26 points on Sunday.

Thursday will be the 75th meeting between the two teams with Towson holding the slight edge in the all-time series, 39-35. The series dates back to the 1982-83 season when Hofstra won, 75-75. Towson has won seven-straight contests against Hofstra. The last time that the teams faced in the CAA Championship was when Towson defeated Hofstra in the 2018-19 semifinals at the Bob Carpenter Center, 68-48.
