Juliana Vaz had her second straight match with 10 kills, while freshman
Maria Branco tallied her first career double-double with 24 assists and 11 digs in a three-set defeat for the Hofstra volleyball team at Northeastern on Saturday afternoon at Cabot Center.
Hofstra also got 19 digs from junior
Maddie Appleton, while senior
Ana Martinovic posted 14 digs and eight kills.
The Pride slips to 3-4 and 0-4 in conference play, while Northeastern improved to 7-2 and 4-1 in conference action.
Hofstra had its best set offensively in the second stanza, totaling 16 kills on 40 attempts with just five errors as they narrowly dropped a two-point set.
Sophomore
Athina Dimitriadis added nine kills, five digs, and two blocks for Hofstra, while freshman
Damla Tokman chipped in with six kills and three digs.
Nailah Jenkins led Northeastern with 13 kills.
