Staten Island, NY - After not competing during the indoor track season in 2020-21, the Hofstra men's track and field team began its second season of competition at the FastTrack Season Opener, held at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Athletic Complex in Staten Island.
Nayan Chatterjee had the best finish of the afternoon for the Hofstra men, taking ninth in the 60m dash in a time of 7.45. Chatterjee also ran in the 200m, and finished with a time of 24.19.

Patrick Wall (8.07),
Jonathan Mahrt Guyou (8.24) also ran for Hofstra in the 60m dash, while
Tyler Bussell (24.69) joined Chatterjee in the 200m.
Aakash Yagnik (4:56.16),
Josh Reynolds (4:59.59) and Zach Kohner (5:58.79) ran in the Mile, while
Andrew Giovinazzo (1:15.49) competed in the 500m, and
Logan D'Aoust (58.92) ran in the 400m.
Bussell also competed in the long jump, and he finished with a mark of 5.82m.
There was no team score at this event.
The Pride continues its season-opening weekend at the Crowell Open from Gillis Field House in West Point, New York. The track events are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
