Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will open Colonial Athletic Association play on Wednesday when it travels to William & Mary. The Pride will bring a three-game win streak into the contest against the Tribe.
Tip-off from Kaplan Arena is slated for 7 p.m.

Hofstra is 8-5 overall and in the midst of the three-game win streak. The Pride has also won seven of its last eight games. Hofstra defeated Monmouth, 77-71, in its last game on December 22 as graduate student

Abayomi Iyiola tallied nine points and 11 rebounds in the contest.

Zach Cooks and Ray are leading Hofstra in scoring with 17.4 and 15.0 points per game, respectively. Dubar (13.5 ppg), junior
Aaron Estrada (13.5 ppg), and Silverio (12.0 ppg) are all averaging double figures as well. Iyiola leads the Pride with 8.4 rebounds per game and Estrada is tops on the squad with 5.1 assists per contest.
William & Mary is 1-12 this season and most recently dropped an 88-66 decision at Valparaiso on December 22. Connor Kochera leads the Tribe with 11.8 points per game and is joined in double figures by Ben Wight (11.2 ppg), and Quinn Blair (10.1 ppg). Wight leads the way with 6.0 rebounds per game and Tyler Rice is averaging a team-high 3.8 assists per game.
Hofstra is 25-14 all-time against William & Mary. The Pride has won three straight in the series and six of the last seven meetings. The teams first met in Hofstra's first season in the CAA in 2001-02 with the Pride capturing a 68-59 win on January 19, 2002.
