Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University Department of Athletics will host its second #WallpaperWednesday campaign on April 29, but this one will have a little more special meaning.
Hofstra Athletics is teaming up with the
Pride Club Student-Athlete Emergency Fund and urging members of the Pride community to make a $5.00 donation if they request a wallpaper on April 29. The donation isn't required but we would love the Hofstra community to show their support for our student-athletes who are in need of assistance.
The
Pride Club Student-Athlete Emergency Fund was created to assist our student-athletes who have been financially impacted by this massive public health crisis and is designed to assist with travel, moving costs, housing, and other essential support.
The donation can be made via the University's giving page and be sure to designate the gift to the
Pride Club Student-Athlete Emergency Fund.
"We know how generous and wonderful the Hofstra community is," commented Hofstra Vice President and Director of Athletics
Rick Cole Jr. "We look forward to everyone getting behind our student-athletes and know the outpouring of support from our Hofstra family towards those in need will be a great assist."
On April 15, Hofstra held its first #WallpaperWednesday campaign and nearly 600 incredible Pride fans requested wallpapers. We would love it if those who got them the first time around would join their fellow Hofstra fans and make a small donation to the
Pride Club Student-Athlete Emergency Fund.
The custom-designed wallpapers feature your preferred name, uniform number, and general or sport-specific logo.
To request a custom wallpaper, fans should first follow our Hofstra Pride social media channels on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. On April 29 fans can comment on the #WallpaperWednesday post with their request. We ask that you limit your request to one social media platform. All requests must be made by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday.
