Kiawah Island, SC - Hofstra moved up to 48th-place at the Kiawah Island Classic hosted by College of Charleston after shooting a second round 315 (+27). The 53-team, 265-player field, playing at the Osprey Point Golf Club, is the largest college golf tournament in the nation.
Hofstra moved up one spot and has a two-day total of 653 (+77).
Georgia Shevitt had the best round of the day for the Pride, shooting a 75 (+3), and is tied for 205th-place at 163 (+19).
Cameron Waltman fired a 78 (+6) Monday and is tied for 181st at 161 (+17).
Cynthia Zhao is tied for 221st at 165 (+21) after a second round 85 (+13).
Averee Dovsek shot a 79 (+7) Monday and is tied for 226th-place overall at 166 (+22).
Emmah Federman had an 83 (+11) Monday and is tied for 253rd-place at 178 (+34).
Boston University leads the team scoring at 575 (-1), five shots better than Florida Gulf Coast. Amelie Svejda of IUPUI is the individual leader at 140 (-4). Svejda shot a 69 (-3) Monday.
In a separate tournament just for individual entrants, played at Cougar Point on Kiawah Island, the Pride's
Maya Torpey withdrew from the tournament.
The Kiawah Island Classic concludes Tuesday.
