Box Score Bethpage, NY - Long Island University swept Hofstra Friday night, winning all three doubles and six singles flights, to post a 7-0 victory over the Pride at Sportime.

Hofstra fell to 2-3 on the season with the loss while LIU evened its mark at 1-1.

The Sharks opened up the night with a sweep in doubles to earn the point. Valentina Dancenco and Sofiya Kuzina defeated Katherine Kachkarov and Alabina Zaganjor at No. 1, 6-0. The duo of Victoria Erechtchenko and Phoebe Watton clinched the doubles point for LIU, defeating Odessa Stork and Mandisa Walle at No. 3, 6-3. Elinor Storkaas and Bianca Compuesto completed the doubles sweep, winning at No. 2, 6-4, over Jasmine King and April Sanchez.

Dancenco put the Sharks up, 2-0, defeating King at No.1, 6-1, 6-4. Erechtchenko won by the same score at No. 5 over Stork, before Compuesto clinched the win for LIU at No. 4 singles with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Walle. The Sharks would win in straight sets at No. 2 and in three sets at No. 3. The teams played an eight-game pro set at No. 6 with the match already decided.

Hofstra is back in action February 16 at 1 p.m. versus Lafayette. The match will take place at Sportime in Bethpage, New York.
