Bethpage, NY - Hofstra won the doubles point but Binghamton took four of the six singles matches in a 4-3 victory over the Pride Saturday at Sportime. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Pride (5-3).
Alvaro Arce Lopez-Sanchez and
Jun Sasagawa posted a 6-2 win over Michael Pawlowicz and Alejandro Pena at No. 1 doubles while
Shawn Jackson and
Ostap Kovalenko picked up a 6-1 victpry at No. 3 over Sebastian Quiros and Kushaan Nath.
The Bearcats (4-5) led in singles, 3-2, when Pawlowicz clinched the match with a 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 win at No. 1 over Jackson.
Jun Sasagawa and
Giacomo Pezzoli had the singles wins for the Pride.
Hofstra returns to action Friday, Feb. 28 at Delaware at 12 p.m.
