Hempstead, NY - Hofstra won the doubles point and took all three completed singles matches in a 4-0 victory over Queens College Monday afternoon.
Hofstra improved to 12-6 on the season while Queens fell to 8-6.
Marcus Smith and
Jan Leithner defeated Nicholas Volos and Kareem Rashad, 6-2, at No 2 doubles to start the match.
Shawn Jackson and
Coco Haener followed with a 7-6 win at No. 1 over Cosme Jubera and Richard Sec to clinch the point.
In singles play,
Julien Wolfe opened with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Mariano Bibliani at No. 6 to make it a 2-0 match.
Giacomo Pezzoli followed at No. 5 with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-0 win over Jose Zurra. Smith clinched the win with a 6-3, 7-6 victory over Jubera.
The Pride returns to action Thursday at home against St. John's. Match time is 3 p.m.
