Hempstead, NY - Hofstra graduate student Jacquil Taylor has been selected for the Sixth Annual Gotham Hoops Invitational, it was announced recently. 

The Sixth Annual Gotham Hoops Invitational is set for Saturday, April 27 at St. Francis College in Brooklyn. This tournament-style event hosts 36 top men's college basketball seniors before fans and pro scouts. 

Taylor had a tremendous season for Hofstra as a grad transfer from Purdue. He averaged 8.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, while adding 68 blocks, 24 assists and 19 steals. He led Hofstra in rebounding and blocked shots and ranked fourth on the team in scoring. A Colonial Athletic Association All-Defensive Team selection this year, he ranked second in the CAA in blocked shots and fourth in rebounding. 

The 2019 Gotham Hoops Invitational tips-off at 12 p.m. with semi-final match-ups followed by consolation and championship games at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.
