Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University Women's Tennis team played its final regular season match of the 2018-19 season Friday and came away with a 6-1 victory over Binghamton at the Hofstra Outdoor Tennis Center. The Pride won all thre doubles matches and five of six singles flights.
Ronia Dolabany and
Odessa Stork began the match with a 6-1 victory over Maya Haykai and Maria Pandya at No. 3 doubles.
Alejandra Ruffini and
Katherine Kachkarov clinched the point at No. 2 with a 6-2 victory over Michelle Eisenberg and Ashley Granieri.
Dolabany increased the lead to 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Haykai at No. 6.
Sarah Catherine Herndon followed with a win at No. 4 (6-1, 6-0) over Tiffany Dun.
Jasmine King clinched the match for the Pride with a win at No. 3 over Pandya (6-3, 6-3). The Pride also got wins from Ruffini at No 1, 6-2, 6-4, against Samara Eisenberg and Stork, who bested Granieri in three sets (7-5, 4-6, 10-3) at No. 5.
The Pride (12-10) returns to action next week in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship.
