Fairfield, CT - Ronia Dolabany won in three sets at the No. 6 flight to snap a 3-3 tie and give the Pride a 4-3 victory Friday at the WAC Tennis Courts. Hofstra won four of the six singles flights.

Hofstra started the match by winning at third doubles as Sarah Catherine Herndon and Jasmine King downed Anna Komer and Jessica Pil, 6-2. The Stags rallied and won the next two flights to take a 1-0 match lead.

Hofstra took a 2-1 lead after the first two singles flights were completed. Herndon defeated Komer at No. 4, 6-2, 6-0, and Ana Canahuate-Torres got past Sophia Prinos, 6-0, 6-4.

Fairfield evened the match with a win at No. 2 before Ruffini beat Diana Prinos at No. 1 (6-4, 6-4) to put the Pride up, 3-2. Aina March picked up the win at No. 3 to even the score once again and leave the outcome up to the result of the No. 6 flight match between Dolabany and Emily Lombardi.
