Philadelphia, PA - Alejandra Ruffini had the Pride's lone singles victory and teamed with Katherine Kachkarov to earn a doubles win, but Temple posted a 6-1 victory Thursday at the Legacy Tennis Center.
 
Hofstra saw its four-match win streak snapped with the loss and fell to 9-7 overall. Temple improved to 10-4 with the win.
 
The Owls won the doubles point by winning at the No. 2 and No. 3 flights, but Ruffini and Kachkarov prevailed at No. 1, 7-5, over Chunan Xiang and Yining Tian. 
 
Temple then won five of the six singles flights in straight sets, but Ruffini came out on top in a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win over Kristina Titova at the No. 2 flight. 
 
Hofstra will be back in action Friday, March 29 at Fairfield.
