Coco Haener and
Shawn Jackson picked up wins at singles and doubles, but Navy defeated Hofstra Sunday at the Tose family Tennis Center. Hofstra fell to 7-4 on the season with the loss.
Haener and Jackson downed Matthew Lee and Conners O'Brien, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles, but the Midshipmen won the next two flights to take the point. Haener tied the match at one with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Cameron Kirkpatrick at No. 4 singles. Navy won the next four flights before Jackson won at No. 2 over Romesh Kahatapitiya (7-6 (4), 3-6, 10-4).
Navy improved to 17-11 overall.
Hofstra will be back in action Tuesday at Coppin State and Loyola (MD).
