Hempstead, NY -
Justin Wright-Foreman scored 33 points for Hofstra, but James Madison forced overtime with a three-pointer at the buzzer and erased a five-point deficit in overtime to post a 104-99 Colonial Athletic Association victory Saturday night at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. The Dukes outscored the Pride, 15-10 in the extra session.
Hofstra slipped to 23-6 overall with the loss and 13-3 in the CAA. The loss was also the Pride's first home loss of the season (15-1) and snapped an 18-game home court winning streak. James Madison improved to 13-16 overall and 6-10 in league action. The 104 points scored was also a Mack Sports Complex record for a visiting team, surpassing the 100 scored by Marshall on November 18, 2012.
In addition to Wright-Foreman's 33 points, the senior had three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Eli Pemberton had 15 points and five rebounds, while

Coburn started the run with a three-pointer and following a JMU offensive foul, the junior buried another one to make it 40-38 less than a minute into the half. Another empty James Madison possession resulted in Wright-Foreman draining his first three-pointer of the game, giving the Pride a 41-40 lead with 18:23 to play. It was the first Hofstra lead since the opening minutes of the game. With the game tied at 44, Hofstra went on an 8-0 run behind five points from Coburn and a three from Wright-Foreman to lead 52-44 with 15:59 to play. Â Â

Deshon Parker's three-pointer with 8:04 on the clock got James Madison within four, 68-64, but a three-pointer from Pemberton pushed the Hofstra lead to seven, 71-64, with 7:45 remaining. The Pride went up nine, 77-68, on an old-fashioned three-point play from Pemberton. But Matt Lewis converted a three-point play of his own to get James Madison within six, 77-71, with 6:03 to play. The Dukes would battle all the way back and take an 80-79 lead on a Lewis layup that capped a 9-0 run. Two Buie free throws put the Pride back on top, 81-80, with 2:29 remaining. But Lewis sank a pair of free throws of his own to give the Dukes the lead once again, 82-81, with 2:12 on the clock. Hofstra would tie the score at 82 on a Ray free throw and Coburn would break the tie with a three from the corner. Hofstra looked to have the win after Buie's two free throws with three seconds left. But Lewis drove the length of the court and hit a three-pointer from the right wing to send the game to overtime tied at 89.
Wright-Foreman started the overtime with a three-pointer and Dwyer followed with a layup to give the Pride a five-point edge, 94-89, 58 seconds into the extra session. Trailing 96-91, the Dukes used a rare five-point play to tie the game. Mosley hit a three and Greg Jones was fouled underneath. He hit both free throws to tie the game with 2:17 to play.
