Shante Evans played on the Hofstra Women's Basketball team from 2009-2013. While suiting up for the Pride, Evans led Hofstra to two WNIT appearances, including a second-round appearance in the 2009-10 season.
 
Evans graduated Hofstra as the Program's all-time leading scorer and rebounder with 2,116 career points and 1,348 rebounds. She is the only Pride player to reach the 2,000-point milestone in program history. In addition, Evans is tied for the all-time Colonial Athletic Association lead with a rebounding average of 10.6 boards per game. Within the single-season record books, Evans appears in the top-10 in points in a single season three times, points per game twice, field goals made three times, field goal percentage once, free throws made three times, and rebounding four times.  
 
For her efforts, Evans was named to the Associated Press All-America squad in three consecutive seasons (2010-11, 2011-12, 2013-14), becoming the first All-American in program history as a sophomore. In addition, Evans was a four-time All-CAA selection and three-time first team pick.
