Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee recently held its annual Talent Show. It was an evening filled with plenty of off the field talent for Pride teams.
The hosts for the evening were
Jaylen Hines from the women's basketball team and
Tosin Ibironke from the men's cross country and track team. Twelve teams participated in this year's show with three performances earning their teams Pride Cup points. Â
The acts for the evening included:
- Kennedi Kutz (field hockey) sang "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus
- Will Freeman (men's golf) did the Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin' Challenge
- Leah Gath (women's cross country) performed "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen
- Kyle Steinbach (men's lacrosse) performed a lip synch version of "Truth Hurts" by Lizzo
- Steven Zgaljardic (wrestling) sang "Tequila" by Dan and Shay, inspired by an America's Got Talent performance
- Mike Mirando and Derek Haynie (baseball) played the guitar while singing "Stacy's Mom" by Fountain of Wayne
- Six freshmen from the softball team danced to "Cotton Eye Joe" by Rednex
- Jaala Henry and Sorelle Ineza (women's basketball) danced to "Throat" by Gage
- Tanaya Perez, Cailey Welch, Skylar Kuzmich, and Amanda Ebbesson (women's soccer) performed "Do it Like Me" by iAmDLOW
- Eight women's lacrosse student-athletes danced to "Juju on that Beat" by Zay Hilfigerr & Zayion McCall
- Volleyball's entire team danced and sang to "We're All in this Together" from the High School Musical soundtrack
- Shawn Jackson and Jun Sasagawa (men's tennis) did a Rubik's Cube act while juggling three tennis rackets

Deanna Sisti, Assistant Field Hockey Coach
Courtney Deena, and Senior Administrative Assistant
Robin Sandas.
Kutz, who was the runner-up last year, took home first-place honors this year and earned 300 Pride Cup points for her team. Jackson and Sasagawa placed second to earn 200 Pride Cup points while the volleyball team came in third to earn 100 Pride Cup points.
