11/22/2019 5:20:00 PM

Fullerton, CA - Coming off arguably the biggest regular season win in program history, the Hofstra men's basketball team will return to the court on Sunday when it faces Cal State Fullerton.

Tip-off from Titan Gym is scheduled for 5 p.m. (PST) / 8 p.m. (EST).

There will be live video, audio and statistics of the game, via Cal State Fullerton. Links to all can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

The game against Cal State Fullerton will be the second of a three-game west coast road trip for the Pride as Hofstra will face San Diego on Wednesday.

Hofstra improved to 3-2 this year with the historic 88-78 win over UCLA on Thursday. The duo of senior Desure Buie and junior Jalen Ray were the difference all night as both poured in career-highs to carry the Pride to the victory. Buie had 29 points, seven assists, three steals, and three rebounds, while Ray posted 27 points, including five three-pointers.

Ray's career night pushed him into the scoring lead for Hofstra this season as he leads the way with 17 points per game, while ranking second on the squad with 13 three-pointers. Buie is second on the roster with 16.4 points and leads the way with 7.2 assists per game and 2.0 steals per outing. Three other Pride players are averaging in double figures as senior Eli Pemberton (14.6), junior Tareq Coburn (14.0) and sophomore Isaac Kante (10.4) join Ray and Buie. Coburn is tops on the team with seven rebounds per game.

Cal State Fullerton is 2-2 this season and has won two straight contests, including a 60-53 win over Wyoming on November 13 and an 82-62 victory over Stanislaus State this past Saturday.

The Titans have a pair of players averaging in double figures as Austen Awosika is first on the team with 17.3 points per game, while Wayne Arnold is second with 14.3 points per outing. Awosika also leads the team with 6.5 rebounds per game and 3.8 assists per outing.

Hofstra and Cal State Fullerton have met once before, an 80-71 Pride victory a season ago. Justin Wright-Foreman scored 37 in the game for Hofstra, while Pemberton added 20 points in the win.
